A+nyWhere Learning System®: Assessment

A key component of A+nyWhere Learning System® courseware is its ability to assess students against specific standards and prescribe individual lesson plans for students based on their specific needs. This is perfect for State Test Prep, High School Credit Recovery, GED Prep Software, Reading Intervention Software, and Math Intervention Software as well as advanced learning.

Also, A+Learning Link can be used as a universal screener also known as universal screening.

This component has been developed with an emphasis on:

  • Focusing assessments to specific learning objectives, whether they be national, state, district, or local.
  • Automating prescriptions to include all resources that the school or district has at its disposal.
  • Integrating administrative, staff, faculty, and student databases (including performance records) with existing databases.

ALL 50 States and National Standards have been aligned & integrated within A+nyWhere Learning System® down to the level of the specific objectives. For example, the Arizona Articulated Standard R05-S1C4-06 (Language Arts; Reading Process: Vocabulary; Grade 5) on “identifying antonyms, synonyms, and homographs” links 6 lessons from our Reading V and Building Vocabulary V titles. Within A+, objectives for all grades in each state are aligned to the appropriate lesson(s).

Educators have the capability to pretest students skills and the A+nyWhere Learning System® program will prescribe curriculum targeted to an individual student’s mastery level. For example, the TerraNova Objective Set or SAT–9 Instructional Objectives standards may be added to the system and the students can be tested against these standards. In all cases, “smart testing” can be deployed and assessment tests configured to branch up and down “skill trees.” This branching allows educators to identify the lowest levels that the student has not mastered and the highest levels of mastery in particular curriculum areas. After completing the assessment test, students may be assigned, automatically, a customized lesson plan containing student-specific activities.

The A+nyWhere Learning System® courseware will prescribe activities that may include any content or resources available to the educator. These activities can include computer-based content, Internet material, and non-computer material such as textbook lessons, group work, field trip, projects, etc. Capability to grade and identify mastery of these activities is also provided.

I liked A+ because if I made a mistake it was ok and I could try again. You don’t get to try again in the classroom.
