A+nyWhere Learning System®: System Requirements
In LAN and WAN versions, an A+®
Client application is installed on all workstations accessing the system. Server-side applications and databases are also installed on the server. The platform of the workstations and the platform of the server do not have to match, provided the network operating system can support the configuration deployed. For example, A+® server applications running on a Macintosh server can host A+® client applications running on Windows workstations, A+® server applications running on a Windows server can host A+® client applications running on Macintosh workstations, etc.
A+® Client-Server Online Version
In the Client-Server Online version, an A+LS Client application is installed on all workstations accessing the system. The server applications are run at AEC’s Tier 1 Data Center. This version is currently available only for Windows workstations.
A+® Browser Version
In the A+® Browser version, the system is accessed via standard Internet browsers.
The Browser version is not yet supported on Linux or Unix computers.
Details on Operating System Upgrades
If you have a Service Pack, Support Pack, or new version of your Operating System and it is not shown in the OS specific sections, we cannot guarantee satisfactory performance of A+® after application of the Service Pack, Support Pack or new version.
