Educational Software is broad and covers many things. Computer games children play at home and core curriculum lessons aligned to state’s standards to supplement students’ learning…and then everything in between! Most of you would agree that “playing on the Internet” is not the best way students should spend their time in the computer lab at school. There is definitely a place for the Internet in schools! Educational Software is something entirely different.

First of all, it’s clear that today’s generation requires whole brain learning to learn most effectively…a multi-modal approach is necessary in any lesson plan or software program. We typically find multi-modal approaches in Reading Intervention Software programs, Math Intervention Software programs, advanced learning and other specific student target group programs. Of course, Special Education Software has its place and can be very similar to the ones mentioned above. Gifted and Advanced students often are left behind.
