“Best Practices in Online Learning “Borrowed” From the Brick and Mortar Classroom

As more and more districts are adopting blended and full-time virtual learning, the classroom experience is changing. But we shouldn’t leave behind the valuable lessons learned in traditional brick and mortar instruction. While today’s students might attend a class as they sit in their living room, the fundamentals of orchestrating a successful lesson, engaging with students, and increasing student performance are the same as they have always been.

You’re invited to attend our webinar featuring Keith Wilson, Principal of Lawrence Virtual School, which serves more than 1300 K-12 students from across the state of Kansas. On Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2:00PM EST, Mr. Wilson will discuss the lessons he’s learned in the transition from a traditional brick and mortar to a completely virtual setting.

This 45-minute webinar will cover:

 Similarities between a brick and mortar class and a virtual class
 How to ensure success in a virtual classroom using lessons learned
 The importance of student and parent involvement in the virtual classroom
 The roles of the principal and teachers in a virtual environment

Join us on January 23rd to learn more about best practices for a virtual classroom.
