Participate in Speak Up 2008 from AZ Dept of Ed!!

Posted on November 6, 2008

The 2008 Speak Up survey is now open http://www.netdayspeakup.org/speakup2008/!   Since 2003, the annual Speak Up online survey has collected and reported on the views of over 1.2 million K-12 students, teachers, administrators and parents representing over 14,000 schools in all 50 states.  The Speak Up data represents the largest collection of authentic, unfiltered stakeholder input on education, technology, 21st century skills, schools of the future and science instruction. For example, educational software, curriculum software and state standards aligned curriculum.

Take advantage of this survey to collect valuable data for your district or schools’ technology, school improvement or a strategic plan (state test prep, online formative assessments, universal screening).  Here are some reasons why to use it:

·         Ensure that your stakeholders’ voices are included in the dialogue about K-12 science, technology and math education.

·         Gather information from your students, teachers, school leaders and parents about key educational topics, including: educational technology, 21st century skills, science and schools of the future.

·         Send a strong signal that you value your stakeholders’ opinions.

·         Engage your stakeholders in decisions that will affect the programs, services or legislation that will affect them.

Go to Speak Up 2008 for details about how to get started with this survey opportunity.  You will also find the Speak Up 2007 Results for Arizona here.  If more than 2% of Arizona students in the state participate in the survey, the state will receive aggregate data for Speak Up 2008.
