Having grown up surrounded by computers and mobile phones, the “iGeneration” is accustomed to multiple stimuli – all coming in at the same time. Traditional teaching methods can’t always reach and influence this new generation of multi-tasking students.

Aventa’s online curriculum is designed to engage the iGeneration. Designed in a rich, multi-media format, which includes avatars, Flash simulators, and videos, our online courses effectively engage students who might otherwise be tuned out. The graphic elements appeal to different learning intelligences, particularly to visual and kinesthetic learners who are often harder to engage through traditional teaching methods.

Below is a sampling of ways students are interactively involved in the Aventa Learning curriculum:

  • Students can click on the headset icon and “listen” to the text being presented.
  • Students can engage in simulations including virtual labs and simulated dialogs with avatars.
  • Students can participate in “close activities” which provide a structure to repeat and practice.
  • Students can organize, categorize, match and memorize through interactive graphics.
  • Students may complete questions, self-assessments and study guides.
