Assign Lessons from the Arizona Articulated Standards
Using Arizona Articulated Standards are an excellent way to prescribe specific Lessons to support individualized student learning. A+LSo, this method of assigning Lessons can address instructional needs at the student’s level – either below grade level, on grade level, or above grade level.
Let’s create (or use) an Assignment List that includes an A+LS (A+nyWhere Learning System) Lesson assigned by Arizona Articulated Standards.
- Before we can add a Lesson to an Assignment List, we need to Create an Assignment List. Click on the link for a step-by-step guide. Once you have created (or determined) the Assignment List we can now assign our Lessons.
Adding a A+LS Lessons using Arizona Articulated Standards
- Log into A+ as an Administrator or Teacher
- Click on the 3rd icon from the left, the Clipboard, which is A+LSo called the Assignment Management Window.
- Expand your school (clicking the key to the left of the folder)
- Expand the class where you would like to add the Lesson (using AZ Articulated Standards).
- Expand the Default Lesson Plan
- Right Click on the Assignment List you would like to add the Lesson
- Hover your cursor over Add Assignment and then select From Standards to the right.
- From this Add to Assignment List window:
- Select a Standard Set: Arizona Articulated Standards
- Select a Curriculum Area: LA, Math, Science, Social Studies
- Select a Standard Subset: (these are associated by Curriculum Area)
- Select a Curriculum Level: (grade)
Done! You know have successfully included A+LS Lessons within your Assignment List based on Arizona Articulated Standards. You will find this method extremely helpful and beneficial, when you are trying to assist students with improving specific academic skills.
